The feared fighter from Brooklyn, New York would regularly walk to the ring wearing his signature black leather boots with no socks, black shorts and a simple towel with a cutout for his head.

While this walkout outfit is not iconic for being one of the most extravagant, it is iconic and engraved in boxing history for being one of the most feared. In a time when a vast majority of boxers wore impressive walkout outfits, the simplicity and ferociousness of Tysons will always be remembered by boxing fans.

In his second megafight vs Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder wore an extremely elaborate costume that was steeped in diamonds and details. While this outfit was incredibly unique and unlike anything that boxing had seen before, it is not this that makes the outlandish outfit so iconic.

In fact, this incredibly brash outfit is infamous among boxing fans because Wilder used it as an excuse as to why he was beaten emphatically by Fury that night. The American heavy hitter blamed his outfit for taking away his legs as it was too heavy. He claimed that the outfit weighed 40 pounds and therefore took away his legs throughout the fight.

In their eventual trilogy fight, Wilder opted for a more lightweight robe and mask. However, the outcome would prove to be the same. Despite putting up a much better account of himself and knocking Fury down, the Brit was once again victorious and took home his WBC and Ring Heavyweight world championship belts.

When putting together any iconic list about boxing, there is one name that will nearly always be on there, Muhammad Ali. In the minds of many boxing fans, Ali was the greatest boxer of all time and still to this day has one of the most iconic walkout outfits. His white robe brandishing the name Muhammad Ali on the back would become one of the most recognisable and iconic robes in boxing history.

Throughout the majority of his illustrious career, Ali wore full white outfits, however, on odd occasions such as his fight vs Joe Frazier, he would switch the white for a red. This red, because of its appearance in the fight of the century, would also become incredibly iconic.

Not only is he a tremendous boxer but he also has one of the most iconic and recognizable walkout outfits in boxing. The beautiful robe that he wears both for his ring walk and after the fight has become a staple sight of a GGG fight night. The beautiful blue and gold robe is a nod to the traditions and colours of his homeland and has now become an icon of its home and will be forever ingrained in boxing history.

Bernard Hopkins was an incredible boxer and one that had a long and sustained success, even becoming the oldest-ever world champion at 45. In the early part of his career, he would often walk to the ring in a very fierce and menacing outfit that featured an executioner's mask.

In the later part of his career, Bernard would become known as the Alien. When his nickname changed, so did his walk-out outfits. He would then walk to the ring wearing an alien costume and mask. The Alien nickname came from Hopkins's ability to never seem to age in the ring despite being in the older years of his career. The two-weight world champion would not retire until the age of 52.

Floyd Mayweather is known to be a fan of doing everything he can to annoy and get into the heads of his opponents. That is why he turned up to his mega-fight against Mexican superstar Oscar De La Hoya supporting the Mexican colours and a traditional Mexican sombrero.

This is such an iconic walk-out outfit because of the importance of the fight and because it was such a simple yet smart way for Mayweather to get in the head of his opponent one last time before they went to war. This fight would be one of the most important fights of Mayweather's career and when people really started taking him seriously as one of the best of all time.

Gervonta Davis

As the prodigy of Floyd Mayweather, Gervonta Davis is not afraid of wearing an outlandish walkout outfit. He has made the ring walk on numerous occasions wearing some extremely impressive outfits. Whether it be his blue fluffy smurf costume, his version of the Floyd Mayweather Mexican walkout, and so many more.

However, the most impressive and iconic Gervonta Davis walkout outfit has to be his Micheal Jackson-inspired costume. In his featherweight title fight vs Liam Walsh, he wore a stunning MJ-inspired outfit that featured flashy details and was topped off with the iconic MJ hat. He has since then also had a Michael Jackson Thriller-inspired walkout and outfit.

One of the most iconic walkout outfits in the last few years has to be Tyson Fury’s Gypsy King outfit for his second fight with Deontay Wilder. While a lot of the talk on outfits for this fight was focused on the ‘heavy costume’ of Wilder, Fury's Gypsy King outfit is incredibly iconic and enhanced even more by the chariot on which he came to the ring.

Tyson is a very outstanding and fun character and this walkout outfit and walk out as a whole perfectly encapsulated exactly who Tyson is both in and out of the ring. The outfit was made even more impressive and iconic as Fury put on a masterful display to give Wilder a true beatdown and hand him his first-ever professional loss.
